.NET 2.0 is installed on this system and systems that did not get the MS Updates for May 2015 load the package properly. even the base command-line without patches fails.

msiexec.exe /package  "%INST%AcroStan.msi" /passive /norestart TRANSFORMS="%INST%AcroStan.mst" /lv* "%INST%Acrobatinstall.log"

This batch file install works, the INST variable is the directory holding the install files.  This package and the transform created with the Adobe Customization wizard have worked for a long time.

It seems that the new MS patches may have made the older .NET framework unrecognizable to the Adobe Acrobat 11.x base installer????  Anybody else having this problem.

"Capture 3D plug-in damaged" error upon start of Acrobat 9 Pro Extended - Possible Fix?

My AA9 Pro Extended will not allow 'any' updates.

'All' of my 17 Total (individual) updates l that I have recorded to DVD backup now will not install. Every attempt is returning the same 'message':

"The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch."

I assure you these are the updates that worked/installed/updated my AA9 Pro Extended when I last had to reinstall (switched to new computer in 2012) everything.

Recently I had to perform a factory reset/installation because a 'OEM' (Dell) Backup and Recovery software put my computer into a cycle of looped(ing) function.

Everything else concerning 'all' my other re-installations (...and 'Updating) go as smoothly as expected. So can you help me get these updates to function as they did the last time I installed them?

I have all the 'url' for all 17 updates (2 downloaded/attempted again) with exact same results. So that eliminates 'bad' back up(s).

Respectfully,

Mr. Grantz

Can no longer sign fillable PDF forms with DC... worked fine with XI

$

I purchased a subscription to Acrobat Pro XI for the sole purpose of signing a fillable PDF form I need to submit to my company from time to time, and to avoid having to fill and print the form, manually sign it, and the scan it back into a new PDF form with my signature.... particularly because sometimes I don't have access to a printer or a scanner while traveling.

This worked perfectly with Acrobat Pro XI... I would just click on Sign, and drag my saved signature (a scan of my signature in .JPG format) to the signature line of the form, save it and email it.. done.

Now since this "Upgrade" to DC this no longer works.  Using the same form as before, I click on Fill and Sign, and I get a message saying ""Get Started:  You have opened a fillable PDF form.  This form does not let you drag and drop saved information"

I spoke with two different people in support, and the first one... after screen sharing confirmed it did not work as he expected either.... said he was going to "escalate it and I would be called by the escalation team.... which of course did not happen. Now I see in looking at my cases, that it was "Closed" Case 186619133 so he didn't escalate it after all.

Has anyone got this to work as the Acrobat Pro XI did to let you drag your saved signature to the form where you want to place it... or am I really going to have to downgrade to Acrobat Pro XI to regain this functionality?

Not sure if this is the right place?

I actually have several questions. Perhaps someone can direct me to the correct venue(s) if this isn't the right place to do so.

I have several Adobe products, Dreamweaver Academic, Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.1 and Adobe Acrobat Pro X.

1) I am no longer a student and don't have Dreamweaver installed and don't intend to use it. Should I have it removed as a registered product.from my Adobe ID account?

2) The copy of Acrobat Pro X I have installed (on Windows 8.1) currently isn't showing up as a registered product in my Adobe ID Account. It did show as registered in the past.

( Though I don't think so,) it is possible that I created a new account when I originally installed and registered the product, Is there some way of fixing this. My recollection is that

it appeared with the other 2 registered products in the current account

3) I've not had the copy of Acrobat Pro 8.1 installed on a machine for some time now. My recollection is that it wouldn't install on Windows 8.1 but I can't recall. It may have been

on a Win 7 box that died awhile back, In which case I wouldn't have Deactivated it

So, I just (apparently successfully) installed it on a copy of Windows 10 Preview. It seems activated but registration failed.

    A) Will Acrobat Pro 8.1 run on Win 8.1 (if so, it should run in Win 10 Preview)?

    B) If it runs, Can I get the registration sorted out?

    C) If I can get the Registration sorted out for this copy of Acrobat Pro 8.1, can I use a retail box upgrade to Version X?

4)

    A) If indeed I can and do upgrade the version 8.1 to version X. When I deactivate the software to install on another machine (or more likely, the final release of Windows 10)

what will the install routine look like?

   B) Will I need to repeat the 8.1 install and install the upgrade again, or will I be able to use the DVD from my full version of Acrobat X Pro

        and the upgrade activation Key?

Mahalo!

I am using Adobe Acrobat DC on 10.10.3.

Every time I open a .pdf in Adobe Acrobat DC, it open the .pdf but it also opens a window behind it. This wind has a "Home' and "Tools" tab on it.

Is there a way to turn that off so it does not come up when opening .pdfs?

Thanks
