Acrobat not starting

So after being on the phone with 3 different tech support people, they keep sending me here. My problem is that Adobe suddenly does not start anymore. Everytime I try to run the application it tells me that I need to activate it by running another application in the suite (like photoshop). Well that doesn't change anything.

 

I have also run the Acrofix.exe tool and it doesn't change anything. It just gives me Exit Code: 3 when I run it.

 

I have also reinstalled the entire suite 3 times. First time was from the retail disc I have, and the other two were via download links I got from support.

 

So does anyone else have any other ideas?


CC prompting to update Acrobat XI to Acrobat DC when user doesn't actually have Acrobat DC on their CC account.

I have a user that has Adobe Acrobat XI and the Creative Cloud updater is telling her there is an update for Acrobat DC. When we attempt to perform the update, we are prompted that we must uninstall the old version of Acrobat first. We do that, then the option to update Acrobat DC is gone and the option to "Try" it is there. We reinstalled Acrobat XI and Creative Cloud is back to prompting to update her Acrobat DC. How to we stop it from prompting to Update to Acrobat DC when she doesn't actually have the product on her CC account to install.

I have been running Acrobat X under Win 10 64 bit. Recently it has become unstable and I deleted and am trying to reinstall. After 4 attempts finally installed from CD with error message to download Application Manager. App Mgr consistently fails to initialize. Error message refers me to Support Advisor - which has been discontinued.  Can't find any help on Adobe Support Section.  Have d/l and installed Acrobat X from Adobe with same result.  Any help on getting App Mgr to run will be GREATLY appreciated.  Thank you.

I have Adobe Acrobat on a company issued computer. The update feature in Acrobat has now downloaded Acrobat DC, and there's an icon in my system tray that keeps popping up telling me to update to Acrobat DC. I have no interest whatsoever in installing Acrobat DC, how do I get rid of the download and shut off the update feature so it doesn't download again.

I've just reformated my acer laptop and now i can't do my editing to documents using acrobat pro dc, how do I go about it?

I have 2 products Adobe acrobat X Pro and Adobe Acrobat XI Pro on two different computers one is running windows 10 Pro and other one is running on windows 7 Home Premium and both returns with Error 1328. I have opened a case to help me and nobody buck to me to explain what is the reason for error 1328?

I also the registration wont save. both product are genuine in and boxed otherways I won't be here to ask for help. I have done uninstall and install numerous times with no success.

is there anyone can help please?

I reinstalled my OS X and have the original key for Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional but once installed and I select the two extra it just freezes and needs force quitting.

On restarting application the whole process repeats itself.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

 

I am unable to install a trial version of Adobe Acrobat DC via Creative Cloud. I have read possible solutions here on this forum and on other forums. These have included clear items from the registry, uninstall applications, rebooting after a failed install and trying again. I have installed Adobe Reader DC successfully. I have also installed several other cloud application successfully as well. The error message I receive is the following.

 

 

Exit Code: 7 Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting.

For example, ERROR: DW003, DW071 ...

This error prevent the successful installation of Acrobat DC

 

 

Noting I have found has resolve this issue of failing to install the software.  Any help anyone can provided is most appreciated.

When I upgraded my PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10 I was asked to register my Acrobat reader Pro versjon 8. But when I try to register I'm told that I'm not connected to internet or that I haven't activated my Java reader. Both arguments are wrong as both internett Java are OK.

I can see that I probably should have de-installed my lisens before I upgraded, but I got the same answer when I tried then, and found no way on Adobes internet page to de-install manually and hoped the upgrade would bring the license along

 

I'm retired many years ago and nowadays need this Pro versjon just occasionally in some hobby activities to keep old skills alive, and am not neither in position nor interested to subscribe a new versjon. My old versjon 8 originally from 2006 has just what i need.

 

Please tell me what I can do.

Hi,

 

We have two registered serial number from Acrobat Prof. 8 in my company.

The two old machines, which contains the installed software went to scrapping, so I couldn't get them.

We want to use the software on a new computer, but I got a message that we reach the limit about the serialnumber usage.

I tried to activate on phone, but the phone numbers were wrong, the service is disabled.

How can I activate this product again?

What ports/exceptions/address need to be open to have the Adobe Acrobat DC Installer download the full version of Adobe Acrobat Standard DC?

 

I am currently able to run this install off my company's network, but not on it. I need to know what to open up on our end.

I just received Acrobat 12 with another product that I purchased; so I uninstalled Acrobat 9 Extended from my desktop and am now trying to install it on my laptop. During the installation where it ask for a product key, it keeps telling me that the key is invalid. I have the key copied to a drive at home and it is the same key that is listed for the product online under my account. I need assistance getting this problem fixed so that I complete the install. I thought that the key was available for install on two machines as well; which would mean that this key is altogether blown. Please help.

I have XI installed on my desktop and am ready to deactivate it.  I am not able to install the XI software from our server location for some reason either, so I think I need a viable XI download source so I can then deactivate on my old machine and activate on the new laptop.

The link is available to deactivate but nothing happens after you click, the drop down menu simply disappears and nothing more.  If I go back to see if it's deactivated, it only shows that the deactivation link is available.

Hi, I've just installed Adobe Acrobat, and did not realize it was going with the DC option until it was already installed. I was installing it on a laptop meant for another operating group in the company, and now it's installed, but with my email and Adobe ID. A few questions on this:

 

1) Will it work in a remote location, disconnected from the internet, with my adobe ID?

2) How will it affect the installation if I log off from the Adobe account?

3) Will the remote user be able to get updates to the software if not logged in via my Adobe ID account?

4) Can I downgrade to the non-DC version of Acrobat under the same license?

 

Thanks for any info. I tried finding this information via the menus, but there are about 95000 options to follow, and none appear to be answering my specific questions. If no obvious answers, is there a link to go directly to an account specialist?
